Justin Japour
Justin Japour joined the Sunset Hills family at the beginning of 2010 and is a Class “A” PGA Certified Professional with a Master’s Degree in Business Management. Mr. Japour has been in the golf business since 1998 and has received PGA Certifications in Golf Operations as well as Teaching & Coaching. In College, he played at Valdosta State University where he earned Academic All-American, Honorable Mention All-American, and Student Athlete- of- The Year. Mr. Japour started his golf professional career with Sequoia Golf Clubs. While at Sequoia, he was responsible for golf operations at multiple clubs simultaneously, high traffic facilities, and low volume clubs while being accountable for member satisfaction, service, and profitability. Through all of his experience, Mr. Japour has maintained a deep rooted passion for golf as his main goal is to give the best all around experience possible at Sunset Hills Country Club.
 
Grace Li began her career at Sunset Hills Country Club in 2012. She brings years of accounting and auditing experience to her role as our Controller here in SHCC. Grace has extensive knowledge in GAAP and GAAS. Prior to joining SHCC, she worked in public accounting and state government auditing. Grace holds a Master of Professional Accounting degree from University of West Georgia and is a licensed CPA in Georgia. She lives in Douglasville with her husband Li Cao and enjoys playing ping-pong ball and working out at leisure time.
 
Assistant Superintendent
Derek Hendricks
A native of Maryville, Tennessee, Derek was raised in Carrollton before studying History at Tulane University in New Orleans, and Georgia Tech for a semester while evacuated for Hurricane Katrina. In 2008 he joined the staff at Sunset Hills, working his way up to the position of Assistant Golf Course Superintendent in 2017. In his spare time he enjoys reading, wood turning, and spending time with his cat and his loveable mutt, Zoë.

Steven MacPherson
Steven MacPherson joined Sunset Hills during his undergraduate years at UWG in 2015, working part-time as an outside service attendant. After receiving a degree in Public Relations and Music in 2016, Steven began the search for a full-time position while continuing to work for SHCC. Little did he know that after 2 years of searching and working for the Club, that the passion and a job could be found here all along. Mr. Japour offered him the full-time Assistant Golf Professional position in Feburary of 2018, as well as a chance to enter the PGA Professional Golf Management School. This educational opportunity gives Mr. MacPherson the chance to become a Class “A” PGA Certified Professional. While progressing through the PGM program and working full-time at SHCC, Steven is responsible for our Outside Service operation, Youth Golf programing and assisting in all tournament related activities.
 
Housekeeping Supervisor
Rebecca Cowart
Rebecca Cowart has been with Sunset Hills Country Club as the Housekeeping Supervisor since 2009. Ms. Cowart is originally from Savannah, Georgia and moved to Carrollton in 1992 with her family. The members, employees, and atmosphere is what Ms. Cowart loves best about Sunset Hills and looks forward to many years with the Sunset family.
 
Golf Course Superintendent
Adam Hoffman
Adam has been working in the golf industry for 23 years. It was a high school summer job that evolved into a career that took him to a variety of different courses. Adam earned a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design with a concentration in Turfgrass Management from the University of Tennessee in 2004. He spent the next 10 years serving as an Assistant Superintendent at several clubs in Tennessee and Georgia including three years at Marietta Country Club and five years here at Sunset Hills from 2010 - 2014. Since leaving Sunset Hills in 2014 Adam served as Director of Golf Maintenance overseeing multiple courses in Dekalb county, and most recently as the Golf Course Superintendent of The Frog Golf Club in Villa Rica. Adam has been married to Betsy Hoffman for 13 years and they have four children ages 9,7,4, and 2 which keep them busy for most of their time. Betsy is a teacher working in Douglas county and they currently live in Villa Rica.
 
Operations Director
Chelsea Church
Chelsea Church has been a part of the Sunset Hills team since 2012. A graduate of the University of West Georgia, Chelsea holds a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Chelsea began her professional career at Sunset Hills in Membership and is now the Operations Director. Chelsea resides in Carrollton with her husband Kyle and their son Liam.
 
Director of Sales
LeAnne Reese
LeAnne Reese is the Director of Sales for Sunset Hills Country Club and a licensed real estate agent in the State of Georgia. She is responsible for membership sales and relations for the club. As Director of Sales, LeAnne also promotes, schedules, and manages all banquet events, including but not limited to private parties, business meetings and seminars, showers, wedding and receptions. LeAnne is a Carrollton native and has worked in hospitality her entire career. LeAnne has degree in Marketing Management and holds a certification from Club Managers Association of America. She has years of First Class Service training by the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. LeAnne is a proud mother of three children and “LeeLee” to her grandson Kash. LeAnne enjoys being adventurous, traveling, community involvement and volunteering as an Ambassador for the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.
 
Executive Chef
Steven Petrie
Steven Petrie is the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director here at Sunset Hills. Steven was born in southeast Ohio in the town of Gallipolis. His Parents were restaurant owners, so Steven started his career at an early age. He went into a management program at the age of twenty one. During his early twenties he traveled throughout Ohio managing restaurants in multiple cities. Steven has spent his career working with different companies and Chefs, helping develop restaurant operations, and developing new concepts. He has directed the opening of over fifty restaurants, including Jamaican, Mexican, and even French influenced concepts. Some of his previous Executive Chef experience includes Walt Disney World and the Hard Rock Cafe. He has also worked internationally and has been a consultant for sports figures and entertainers who wanted to have their own restaurants. Prior to Sunset Hills Country Club, Steven Worked in Atlanta for the Legacy Group. He now resides in Carrollton.
